Noank Village Boatyard has recently been awarded the State of Connecticut’s Clean Marina Certificate by the Department of Environmental Protection. By this certification, the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection recognizes Noank Village Boatyard's environmental efforts are above and beyond regulatory compliance and highlights their environmental stewardship in the reduction of pollution at a marina.

The boatyard staff has put forth a great effort to implement environmental standards to reduce pollution from all of their marine service aspects as well as continuing to work on emergency planning and to educate boaters at the location on proper clean boater techniques.
